October BR Dinner (Thursday, October 17) :
Our group monthly dinner will be at the Olive Pit restaurant in Brea. https://www.olivepitgrill.com. We will go there after the run. We will celebrate all the BR October Birthdays Julie 7, Cara 8, Rosemarie and Eric 16 , Chris and Rick 17, Elaine 18. Before the run we will take the group annual picture in front the huge pumpkin!!!
Boxes of Love:
Elaine is inviting us to participate in this great program. Here is her message:
St. Jude is again supporting Canning Hunger and their “Boxes of Love” program. There are four ways to participate:
- Go shopping and select all or some items from the menu checklist (see attached)
- Donate check or cash and I (or Turkey Gobblers) will go shopping – make check out to Elaine Tipton-Cook
- Donate $8.00 check or cash to go along in the box to cover costs associated. Please make check out to Canning Hunger.
- Do any of the combination of the above!
I will bring boxes to the Tues and Thurs runs if anyone would like to take one. I will be collecting the boxes or any of the items above until Thursday 10/24.
Last year our BR family collected 15 boxes = 15 families – YEAH! It would be great to collect 15 or more boxes this year!! Thank you for your consideration and for helping our community!
