Mark your calendars. The April Group Dinner will take place next Thursday, April 4th, after the run. We will be going to Alza Osteria In Brea. http://www.alzaosteria.com/

We’ll meet tomorrow at 7am in the parking lot of Whole Foods Market located at the north east corner of Imperial Highway and Valencia  Avenue in Brea. The address is 3301 E Imperial Hwy, Brea, CA 92823. Let’s meet in the north  east corner of the parking lot.

We will be running the TRACKS AT BREA TRAIL starting from Whole Foods. You can turn around anytime to make it a shorter run or repeat for longer runs.

We are going to meet today near the NW corner of Brea Blvd. and Birch St at 6:00 p.m. You can park in the parking structure located on Brea Blvd. behind the movie theaters. This is a 6 miles run but you can turn around at anytime. You can also stay on the trail on the way back or run along  Birch street  instead of returning via  Kramer and Imperial Highway.

We’ll meet in the parking lot near Men’s Wearhouse (985 E. Birch) at 6:00 p.m. It is located in the Target/24 Hour Fitness Shopping Center. We’ll be doing Rosemarie’s Run. If anybody would like a shorter run…you can make this an out-and-back run. If you run up Santa Fe Drive to Naranjal…that is around the 2 mile mark. You could turn around here, instead of going all the way to Valencia. Another option (4 miles) is to stay on Birch and run to Valencia and back.

Kayaking Adventure update: Cindy Will be be booking the Channel Islands Painted Cave Kayak tour on Monday 3/25/19. If you would like to join her and 5 Brea Runners and friends she will need your $35 non-refundable deposit by 8am Monday 3/25. Remaining balance is due 4/15/19. The day trip is scheduled for Saturday 7/13/19. The group rate for those booking on Monday is $252 per person. Group rate after that date is $279 per person. See end of this post for additional information.

We will meet tomorrow at 7:00 am at the Yorba Linda Community Center . The address is 4845 Casa Loma Ave. in Yorba Linda and the center is located at the intersection of Imperial Hwy and Casa Loma. We park in the parking lot off of Casa Loma. This is an out-and-back run and you may turn around at any point.

Run under the bridge

Turn around 0.1 mile past Lindsey Dr. for a 10 mile round trip run

6 Mile Run; Turn around at Imperial Hwy and return the same way

8 Mile Run: Turn around at Esperanza and Fairlynn and return the same way

10 Mile Run: Run just past Lindsey Dr and return the same

Several of us are planning a Channel Islands kayaking adventure where we will explore sea caves. It is an all day event starting in Santa Barbara Harbor.  We will board a chartered vessel, sail for about 2 hours, anchor, and launch the kayaks from the boat. We will explore in and around the sea caves for about 2 1/2 – 3 hours. Afterwards there will be snorkeling available. All equipment is included, as well as breakfast and lunch (served on the boat). The date is Saturday 7/13/19. We have secured a group rate of $252 per person or $279 per person depending on how soon we commit. Regular price is $299 per person. I’ll be booking the group on 3/25/19 at the $252 rate, any add-on’s after the initial booking will be $279 per person. There is a $35 per person non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking. If you are interested in going let me know and I can send you additional information.

We’ll meet by the trail near the Fullerton Courthouse at 7 a.m. (close to the intersection of Brea Blvd. & Harbor Blvd….behind the Ralph’s) .The address for directions is 1275 N. Berkeley Ave. Fullerton, CA 92832. We park in the lower parking lot. If you run to and around Laguna Lake and back…that is 5 miles.Directions will be available for longer runs.

We’ll meet at 6:15 p.m. in the parking lot located at the  NE corner of Harbor Blvd. and Chapman Avenue in Fullerton. The parking lot is located behind the  Fox Theater and Angelo’ and Vinci’s restaurant. For directions use 500 N. Harbor Blvd, Fullerton. If the parking lot is full there are several nearby parking lots and parking structures in the area.

Congratulations Su !!! Su completed her first triathlon this past Saturday. It was the Pasadena Triathlon…a reverse sprint distance with a 5k run, 9 mile cycle ride, and a 150 meter swim in the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center pool.

We will meet tomorrow at Grijalva Park and Sports Center in Orange at 7:00 a.m. The park is located just east of the Santiago Creek. The address is 368 N. Prospect St. Orange, CA 92869

Entrance is on East Spring Street – Make a LEFT

Drive all the way around the field and park in the parking lot at the opposite corner from the entrance near the buildings.

We will run on the Santiago Creek Bike Trail to Main Street (south-west direction). The distance to Main Street is approximately 3.9 miles (7.8 miles round trip). For shorter runs you can turn around at any point and return to the parking lot.
