We will meet at 7:00 am at the Yorba Linda Community Center . The address is 4845 Casa Loma Ave. in Yorba Linda and the center is located at the intersection of Imperial Hwy and Casa Loma. We park in the parking lot off of Casa Loma. This is an out-and-back run and you may turn around at any point.

LEFT on Grandview Ave. (2 mile point)
RIGHT on Mountain View Ave. (1st street on right)
Cross Kellogg and continue on Mountain View
RIGHT on Sunmist Dr.(1st street on the right – it looks like a driveway)
RIGHT on Arroyo Cajon Dr.
Quick LEFT onto El Cajon Trail (2.8 mile point)
Stay on the trail which runs along Imperial Hwy
You will see a water tower (3.6 miles point) and cont. on trail to Fairlynn Blvd.
RIGHT on Fairlynn Blvd.
LEFT on Esperanza Rd. (4.1 mile point – gas stations and store)
Run under the bridge
Turn around 0.1 mile past Lindsey Dr. for a 10 mile round trip run
6 Mile Run; Turn around at Imperial Hwy and return the same way
8 Mile Run: Turn around at Esperanza and Fairlynn and return the same way
10 Mile Run: Run just past Lindsey Dr and return the same
Saturday, October 13 Hike. SAN JACINTO!
Saturday October 13th, we’ll be heading to San Jacinto, This is a big hike. Over 10 miles long and 3,000 feet gain plus the altitude is up to 10,800 which is the highest we’ve ever gone, higher than Baldy if you’ve been there. I chose Saturday so you could use Sunday to recover. The Hiking guy estimates 5-6 hours but I’d estimate over 7 hours. Bring hiking shoes, backpack with food, water, sun protection, personal first aid kid, extra clothes. It will be cooler up there because of the altitude. See website below for more details.
We will need to purchase Palm Springs tram tickets. They costs almost $30 but there is a AAA discount. We’ll be eating at the Pines cafeteria restaurant at the tram after the hike so you could also purchase the ride and dine combo ticket if you think you want to eat a lot of food. since the first tram is at 8 am, we can meet up at 6 am to carpool . Meeting locations will be picked depending on who is going and from where.
